Biking got rained out yesterday, so I went to the gym to walk on the treadmill. My back felt real good, and I anticipated no problems.
In fact, it felt so good that I decided after a half mile to jog one minute for every 5 minutes of walking. The first couple of jogs went pretty well, but by the time I was done (3 miles) my piriformis muscle on the left side (my back is no longer in pain) was starting to get a little sore. This morning it's sorer than it's been in several days, though not terribly bad.
I know I won't repeat that workout anytime soon. It seems like I can walk OK, but any running, even at a 12 or 13 min. pace, is too much. -- Rob
