I ran 3.1 miles today, Nathan's 21st birthday. I was not compelled to run fast, or even to run sometimes -- lots of walking. I was with my dogs and they needed pauses, too. It was chilly, in the 60's and some drizzle, fitting weather for a sad day. Here's the link: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/112355085http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

Sun. 9/4/11: I ran 3.4 miles at the Homestead (thehomestead.com), a resort in the mountains of Virginia. We went there as a family to be together, do some fun things, and remember Nathan. We did a great hike, on a part of a beautiful stream privatelyhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif owned by the Homestead. We climbed about 600 ft passing a dozen or two small waterfalls. This was a classy place - we needed ties and jackets for dinner. My run was on our last morning. It was hilly and I took it slow.http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

Sept. 1: Very short 2 mile run: I've been going to morning minyan to say Kaddish for Nathan during Shloshim, the 30 days after the funeral. So I did not have much time. I'm glad I got out for a few minutes. And I did it in my VFFs. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/112355101
Aug. 27 I ran 3.2 miles: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/112355122
