This is a low mileage week, and today was my first run of the week after 18 miles on Saturday. I thought my legs would be fresher, but they felt tired until the last mile and a half or so. I probably just went out a little too fast. My first mile was 9:25, and then everything else was between 8:50 and 9:08.
The 5.5 miles took 50:05, for an overall average of 9:07, which is coincidentally the pace for a 3:59 marathon, so I guess I can count this as the perfect tempo run. -- Rob

Very impressive, buddy! You are setting yourself up for a sub four hour marathon for sure. I believe, since the course is fairly flat, that you should go for it. We'll talk.
