I wanted a rest day before my long run on Saturday, so I went out tonight even though I had run a pretty hard 7 on Wednesday morning. Because of that run, I took this one easy, walking for at least a minute after each mile with the exception of miles 6 and 7.
I only had one split under 9, and that 8:57 for mile 7, which didn't include any walking. The total run was 7.3 miles, and I averaged 9:32, which is plenty good enough.
The plan for Saturday is to do 10 long, slow miles. -- Rob
