Windy, wet and cold

It looked like rain right from the start of this one, and sure enough it started about 1.5 miles out. It wasn't heavy, but enough to make me wet in fairly short order. My shoes were making squishing sounds by the time it stopped about 5.5 miles out, and since I was wet everywhere, I knew it wasn't going to be fun going up hill against the wind for the next three miles.
It wasn't, either.
I just kept telling myself that by comparison the way back would be sunny and 65.
It wasn't, quite. But it was better.
I was a bit surprised by how much the wind, cold, rain and hills took out of me, but I was happy to rack up the 14 as planned. It's a good thing I did it when I did, because the weather got worse as the day went on. -- Rob
