Lunch Time Treadmill

Ran a quick 4 miler over my lunch hour today on treadmill at Lifetime Fitness. Inside, air conditioned. As easy an environment as you could want. Warmed up with a 11:00, then 10:30, then did 6 quarter mile repeats with 10th mile walks inbetween. I'm working on getting more intensity into my runs. First 3 repeats were at a 9:30 pace (very doable), and then 3 at 8:57 pace (hard breathing for me. Josh, do I have a long way to go!). But I'm glad I got in the workout -- my evening schedule has no room today and it's too hot to run after work anyway! -- Bill

As long as you get some kind of work out that satisfies you, then it's a good workout! We have five full months to prepare for the race so there's plenty of time.
